     Freestyle sessions have been renamed to help avoid some confusion with the public and our calendar online.

            OPEN Freestyle is now USFS SESSION -  USFS Pre Pre MIF test passed and higher

             High Freestyle is now High Sessions - Preliminary Well Balanced and higher

             Low Freestyle is now Low Sessions - Freeskate 1 through Pre-Preliminary FS

             Basic Skills Freestyle is now Basic Skills Sessions -  Basic 1 through Freeskate 6 ( No Test )

The Sugar Land Ice & Sports Center offers an excellent Figure Skating developmental programs in which skaters may enjoy a wide varietyskater1 of classes for beginners through advanced levels.

Competitions, shows, exhibitions, recitals, and the US Figure Skating Basic Skills Program encourage participation from the young to the young at heart. We have a highly qualified Professional Coaching Staff that includes National coaches and former World and Olympic competitors. Each coach is a member of at least one of the following organizations recognized worldwide: Ice Skating Institute (ISI), US Figure Skating, US Figure Skating Basic Skills, Professional Skater's Association (PSA).

For information on beginning figure skating classes, please visit the Learn To Skate page. Classes run on a semester basis so students can join a course at different times throughout the year. For figure skaters who have advanced to the point where they typically skate on Training sessions, please visit the training page for information on specialty classes and session times.
