Sugar Land Ice & Sports Learn to Play is designed to teach fundamental hockey skills. Classes start by introducing skaters to the fundamentals of skating and build up to skills such as stick-handling, passing and shooting.
The prerequisite for Learn to Play is passing Basic 3 (6 & older) or Snowplow Sam 4 (5 & younger) in our Learn to Skate school. For more info on LTS, please reach out to skating@sugarlandice.com or check out the Learn to Skate tab on our website.
Learn to Play is Sundays from 12:15-1:15pm. LTP is a year round program with 8-10 week semesters. Please email erin@sugarlandice.com for the current semester flyer.
Passing LTP is required to move into in-house youth league.
For adult participants, Learn to Play progresses to Novice League where the same game and team concepts are supplemented with drills and biweekly games.
Please note that full equipment is required for each class. Sugar Land Ice does not provide the equipment. Additionally, USA Hockey Membership is Required.
